DIFFvelopment Founders, Peter and Esi Gillo, will feature on OWN's new docuseries, Checked Inn on December 9th at 10pm. The series is set to air on November 21, 2017. The episode they feature on centers around the decisions and challenges they face as husband and wife business partners. It will prominently highlight the daunting decision making process of choosing to have Esi resign from her 9-5 so that she can dedicate 100% of her time to DIFFvelopment—just in time for the launch of their inaugural Consultrepreneurship program period.

On October 7, 2017, the DIFFvelopment Founders acted as the keynote speakers at Rutgers University's 27th Annual TWESE African Pride Event

TWESE , the Organization for African Students & Friends of Africa, has been a cultural group at Rutgers University since 1991. It was formed to provide a haven for students with African interests and an avenue for the Rutgers community to be educated on African issues.

Every year, TWESE holds its African pride event to celebrate Africa's rich culture and history. The 2017 theme was "Luminescence: A Look At Africa's Bright Future." The Founders began by highlighting how entrepreneurship often gets left out of the conversation when it comes to African development and emphasized its important role as the foundation of empowerment, especially when it comes to building a bright African future.

On April 27, 2017, the Founders of DIFFvelopment participated in The Positive Community's lively roundtable discussion, “Building Positive Communities”. It was the first of a series of roundtable discussions on social entrepreneurship in the 21st century. The expert panel, made up of a diverse group of change leaders, exchanged ideas around questions such as “What is a social entrepreneur?” and “How can one develop bold ideas for social change?” The event took place at The Interfaith Center of New York City and was moderated by Rev. Jacques DeGraff. Visit Social Entrepreneurship Roundtable to hear what they had to say!
